Eligibility Requirements
Division I - Eligibility Requirements
1. Graduate from high school
2. Complete 16 core courses – each semester counts .5
– 4 years of English
– 3 years of Math (Algebra 1 or higher)
– 2 years of Natural or Physical Science
– 1 extra year of English, Math, or Natural/Physical Science
– 2 years of Social Science
– 4 years of extra core courses (foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy)
3. Earn a minimum 2.30 core GPA
4. Time Limitations
– Early grads must still meet the core course requirements
– 10 of the 16 core courses must be completed prior to the start of the senior year
– 7 of the 10 must be English, Math, or Natural/Physical Science
– A repeat of any “locked-in” course will not be used to improve the GPA if the repeat occurs after the 7th semester has begun
Division II - Eligibility Requirements
1. Graduate from high school
2. Complete 16 core courses
– 3 years of English
– 2 years of Math (Algebra 1 or higher)
– 2 years of Natural or Physical Science
– 3 extra year of English, Math, or Natural/Physical Science
– 2 years of Social Science
– 4 years of extra core courses (foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy)
3. Earn a minimum 2.00 core GPA (requirements vary per school)
4. Entering a Division II School after August 1, 2018
– Complete 16 core courses (same breakdown)
– Meet the sliding scale of of core-course GPA minimum 2.20 GPA
– Graduate from HS
Division III - Eligibility Requirements
1. No Athletic aid is awarded
2. 75% of all Division III student-athletes receive some form of merit or need-based financial aid
3. Division III colleges and universities set their own admissions standards.
4. These athletes are not certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center
NAIA - Eligibility Requirements
1. Graduate from HS and 2 of the following
2. Minimum of 18 on the ACT or 860 on the SAT
3. Minimum of 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 Scale
4. Graduate in the top half of your high school class
